my designing skill is next to nothing. whenever i tried to use flash in any web page the access time became slower due to the size of the flash file. any tricks or software to solve this proble?

You must reduce the size of Your flash animation ( for example, very important, image size...) or use some of tools for flash compression, like Sparkle SWF optimizer or something else.

If You are working in Macromedia Flash, then You have some options in exporting movie with SWF extension.
Watch out Your image size, sound files etc...

if i use a copressor will it effect the quality of the animation bady? i don't want the quality to be reduced. and plese tell me about some basic dos and donts.

Flash optimizers didn't reduce quality at all....I tried Sparkle optimizer and it's pretty good.

But, just like I said, You must be careful with image sizes and sound file size (if You use them in Your animation). Optimize them first.
