Yes, don't use Photoshop. Photoshop is NOT an html editor. Open the resulting HTML file in Notepad and add the Alt ATTRIBUTES (alt is NOT a tag) yourself. If the image is just 'fluff', meaning it's only decoration and does not actually contain content, use alt="". Otherwise, make it meaningful, not just 'picture' so some such.

if i have a .psd file or jpeg file then what do i do ? open it in dreamwevaer then change and save as what???

You will need to 'slice up' the psd into the pieces you need, save them as JPG or GIFs. Then you would place them into your layout in Dreamweaver.

Sounds to me like you don't know a thing about HTML. You might want to consider a very good book:
Build*Your*Own Web*Site The*Right*Way Using*HTML*&*CSS - SitePoint Books

ImageReady will output your slices as HTML.. BAD html but it will do the job. You will, however, have to set up your 'slices' first.
