I would like to create a splash banner, but I am not sure which software to use (I do not know Flash nor do I have the time to learn it). Basically, what I want is a 400x400 banner like thing that has a line of text drop in and then fade out and another line drop in and fade out and an image fade in. I might want the image to be an animated gif. I found a few sites that have the scripts and code for what I want, but they are intro. pages - which I don't want. If I can make the intro page a small banner, it would be perfect. Any suggestions? What about Anim-FX? Thanks.

If you just want a static banner i would suggest Photoshop. If you want an animated gif banner i would suggest Fireworks. If you want an easy flash banner why not try Swish?

Thanks, Nixon. Great suggestions. Yeah, I'm playing around with the trial version of Swish. Maybe I'll but it, if I can determine it will do what I want.
