I've sort of stuck my foot in my mouth about something and need to find an easier way around this.

I've recently started making Outlook Express signature files. It's extremely easy to do and the only part that's a pain, is uploading the images to a server. Well, it's not really a pain to do for myself, but I've stated that I would do this for a few friends of mine. These friends don't have any ideas how this works and I've basically uploaded their images to my FTP (server? client?) and then showed there where to copy/paste the URL.

My question is, is there a way to let them upload their own images onto my FTP server/client/whatever it's called w/out giving them my account name and password?

Thanks in advance

They would need your info. If they don't know what they doing it could cause you some unwanted problems.

Yeah, thanks for that Crow. I was hoping it wouldn't be that way though.
Is there some kind of FTP client that they can download or use; something free?

I use the hostings for my website. I use the cable providers for personal things. There's one site www.photoisland.com that lets you store your images there and even gives a link to that image to be used in auctions or whatever. But, they have a lot of issues and there's times that the image won't even show up due to their problems. So, I've basically just quit using that site.

Anyone know of a place that these ladies can store their info on, use the image link, it be free and reliable? Asking too much?

if i got this straight, thenits possible...
actually it depends on the hosting you use. you can make a Public folder and set permisson level on enabling Write & Read for anonymus visitor.

Another solution would be to use a script/component that allows http uploads. There are many available for almost any web scripting language you use, PHP, ASP, JSP, or PERL. If you need help just send me a note.
