Hey everyone...hope there are some creative minds out there that can help me with some guidance. I'm building a website for a friend that has a bit of a vine theme to it but having difficulty finding any decent tutorials for creating vines. I'm looking at style similar to ivy growth, mostly thick and tangling with an occasional individual offshoot.

I have a pretty good understanding of photoshop, though needing some work on actual artistic talent, haha. I was also looking into Vue because I've heard good things (as well as a reasonable price and trial edition for testing), any opinions about this software?

Any good tutotial links or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried just using brushes for the vines ?? There are tons of foliage-type brushes out there that would work. Start with deviantart.com.

yep deviantart.com is practically the only place to get the best brushes.
