I know that so many questions are asked in this matter, but I am curious as to how Photoshop works, before I install it.

Is it easy to use?
Can images be merged into each other?
Can parts of an image be removed from the background properly (unlike Paintshop Pro)?
Anything else to add?

Thank you in advance for any replies.

Regards.

Photoshop is not very difficult to use (maybe i'm just unprofessional ) - a lot of interesting effects can be done with actions, or plugins or filters. At last you may find a tutorial. Read it and deciede how easy it is...

The answer to all your questions is, “Yes”. Photoshop can do all of that.

In my opinion, Photoshop is the best of all the bitmap graphic programs ...which, of course, explains the price. It also comes with Adobe Image Ready which is essential for Web graphics. I own Fireworks and Paintshop Pro, but they just sit on my hard-drive, taking up space.

Just my $.02

Its not particularly easy if you are going from, say watercolor on canvas to using the computer. But once you get the hang of it, Photoshop is somewhat easy.

And yes PS is capable of all that.

you paid all that money for a program then you ask how easy it is to work? shouldn't you have done a bit of homework first.

If I was you I would have got PSP first it's a lot cheaper and some say just as good but that's a matter of opionion I use both mainly PS but each program has it's own qualities.

Yes, I have PSP, but it wasn't as impressive as I thought it would be.
