has a flash animation with a female on it ( left ) How do they create that hatched pattern on her body?

It's a grid, and it appears to be warped to match the contours of her body. I'd also be willing to bet they're using a mask.

if u have versions like ps cs2, they have a warp tool, and its like just like distorting images, to make a image look round on a round cyclinder for example. so with this, you can just warp the lines so that it looks like it is 3dish around the person.

if you have good enough programs it can be very easy.

You could also do it in Flash, you would just have to literally draw every line. It could be really time consuming. I think the Photoshop tool would be the easiest way, but if you dont have photoshop, you might just "hand draw" the grid.

I have Photoshop CS2. What tool are you talking about? I tried the displacement filter but ended up with mess..
