Holy hell, 500KB?

Could have been done so much smaller and probably with a lot less work in teh Flash.

It looks great, don't get me wrong. But it would be better for 56kers and easier on you to Flashetize it.

Sorry, I can't afford to buy Macromedia. I'll work towards getting that as soon as I'm comfortable with photoshop (have been working in psp till this past week).

I'm a 56ker myself and I know what you mean but in all honesty I've seen quite a few website with flash splash pages that take longer than this to load.

but it is smooth enough to appear flashlike.

This isn't the sort of thing I would put on a website - speed is important to me. It was just something I did to see if I could do it.
