Hi All,

I just designed this logo for my website. Please provide your critiques and also let me know which one you like, if any.

This is for a Album Design site...basically we design coffeetable photo books.

The name has nothing to do with what we do...it just sounded good to us, was available as a domain and was easy to spell for people.

its ok.. the quality seems a bit off, doesnt look clean, alot of messy noises around it, colors arent solid either

Thanx...about the quality..it is just cause this is a low quality version. I wanted to make sure I do not kill the bandwith of people.

It is in Vector form and thus is very clean.

Well it's decent, could be little more creative looking but it has a professional look on it, I like the bottom one more. I dunno if it does but always make sure the colors of logo go well with your website. But ya not to bad though.

I'd agree, definatly like the bottom one more, looks good, logos are the one part I really struggle with.

The website hasn't been designed yet. I am just designing the logo. The color orange is just cause we like how that plays off Black.

I personally like the bottom one too.

Adjust for quality and also added some colors...how about now?

That helped, the colors made it look alot nicer.

I like both the orange and the multicolor. Definately the san-serif version of foto is better. I would look at your color choices in the multicolor version again tho, maybe you could use a broader spectrum or something that stands out more as different or more vivid colors in the smaller segments.

btw what are u designing with?

you should do "foto" in sans serif and "mango" in the serif font.

I liked the two color logo, the the cmyk logo looks like a printing company...like EVERY printing company.

That's awfully close to Sprint's logo mark. Not afraid of copyright or trademark infringement?

Why not play off the Mango part of your name? That would be more original.

ah darn it....didn't see the Sprint Logo. Well, I will have to check them out closely. The twists are different and the colors are definately different.

Also, something with a mango was tried, but can't come up with anything good. I maybe post a challenge if the Sprint issue is too much for me to handle.

If I can throw in my 2 cents not as a graphic designer etc but as a regular "Joe"..a person who looking for logos....I find the foto Kinda "thin" compared to the "thickness" of Mango...something about the proportions of the fonts..maybe thicken up the foto or downsize mango...hopefully you can understand my suggestion! Anyway other than that ..very professional looking!

you may want to play a bit more with the typeface.
Kerning also requires some attention as it is creating readability issues at smaller sizes.

Yeah, well I've seen posers out there using rips of Att's globe in different colors with a different amount of stripes, but is that how you really want your logo mark remembered....as the one that reminds people of Sprint's logo? Not what I would want for my company. Will that instill loyalty or confidence? Originality is always the best route. Look at Google they just used bright colors before anyone else but ebay had the idea, but with a totally different typeface and thought behind it. There are still some fresh new ideas out there.

I am not sure what your site is all about but here's something just to get you thinking.

I would start by spelling photo properly.

Well, I ran a survey and put some logos from here on there. The vote was pretty close...If I remember correctly, out of 100 people voting for the logos, 28 voted for logo by sub and 34 voted for a colored version of the logo I posted here.

Thanx all for the opinions. If anyone needs any financial matter explained, I can try that for you. This is my way of paying back to the community here. That is my field of expertise.

And of course, I have to put it here: Any advice given is just that, advice. You have to do your own due dilligence and see if the advice fits with your own individual circumstances!!
