Wasup guys.

Wat's been popping?

Well, i was wondering if i can get a list of state of the art graphic design softwares that are effective and solid to use in web design that provide professional high end outputs that are in use now.

I hope you guys will be willing to help.

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop...hands down.

Those are pretty much the standards in the industry.

If you are looking for open source, try Gimp.

Yinks,

Also be willing to take a look at Paint Shop Pro (PSP). Formerly developed by a company called JASC, they were bought out a couple of years ago by Corel, but don't let that deter you. It is a fantastic application that does 98.316% of what Photoshop does — often as well and often better.

Have fun.

Also think about Adobe Fireworks. Here's a site that showcases many graphics created by FW: http://ultraweaver.com/downloads/index.asp?offset=50

And look at Photoimpact from www.ulead.com - a very mature image editor so you don't have to pay the hyper inflated "industry standard prices"!

They have all been pretty much covered there. I personally used to use photoimpact but i found i got into a pretty bad habit using it. Don't rely on it too much in my opinion.

For bitmap: Photoshop, PSP, Fireworks....
For vector: Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw...

Adobe products, like Photoshop or Illustrator, are software considered as standard, but choice is Yours.

The most important things are idea and willing to make something really good!
Software can't do anything without a person in front of monitor and keyboard.
