Why don't you buy it straight from adobe, that way you know its a ligitimate copy?

Since the new version has come out, you might be able to find some older version on ebay. Like everyone else has said, unless you buy from Adobe though, you run the risk of getting a jipped copy.

Do you go to Elementary, Junior High/Middle School, High School, College ETC. If you do get the student version

One thing though to upgrade on the student version is really expensive.
Meaning you have to complete buy a new one because there are no upgrades on the student version.

Also try OEM.

Good advice. I'm pretty sure Adobe lets people keep on using their products after they stop being students without having to get a new license. They don't go around telling people that, and they assume good faith, but they also get to charge as much as they do in part because a great deal of talented people know how to use their apps. In plenty of ways The Gimp is actually better than Photoshop, but who uses Gimp? PS is the world's gold standard image editor.
