I've ben designing a webpage for a friend of my G/F more to get my feet wet in the industry than anything else. Any way I designed her logo and sent her a low quality jpeg (not the PNG thanx) and it has since shown up on her letter head and a flier she has sent out. The discussion of price has not come up yet and I'm wondering what I can do legally if she decides to keep it without paying.

Unfortunatley, I don't think legal action is a real option.

I have had logo's designed for me by people on ebay for around £8.

If I were you, I'd put it down to experience and then place it on portfolio. I'm sorry that I can't give you any better news.

It's happened to all of us in the past.

Bad luck.

Write your copyright notice in Fireworks or Photoshop then move the layer so it appears above the image. You can fade it into the background by adjusting the transparency options (e.g. make it 30% transparency) so it is only just visible. Turn off the layer when you want to give the the copyright free image
