Hi everyone, please excuse the newbie question,

I know this is a very easy subject for those on this forum so I am excited to read the responses, anyway, I have no experience creating attractive graphic emails for marketing or for the members who have opted in as part of joining my website and I would like to learn, I would love to know what software needs to be purchased, with replies please be sensative to budget and ease of use for a non expert such as myself.


I use Mail Manager Pro 3 no sure if this will sway opinions on what to use?

I would suggest you check out www.campaignmonitor.com - they have tons of html email templates to use AND you can handle the whole mailing list thing thru them for a VERY reasonable cost.

A graphics program will only get you the graphics.. and any of the ones you listed would do that job. Marketing flyers for print would best be done with Photoshop and probably InDesign since it is a page layout program.

The emails you still need to create them in HTML and there are many restrictions to HTML emails because of the many and various email programs being used.

They all have about the same learning curve. Photoshop CS3 is the latest and greatest AND the most expensive. PaintShopPro will do almost everything Photoshop does for about $100.
