So I decided to come back to the web design world after stopping for year or two and my buddy wanted me to help him out. He used a premade template on his website he's making and at first the images were not working I fixed some of that up which was mistakes in the code on his side.

My problem: I still have certain images not appearing and some text not appearing when it's also a color that is easily seeable on the color its on.

So if you can drop me a pm and I'll show yea the website and source, it's a VERY easy fix if your average with HTML and I can't do much more since I don't remember much of this at the moment.

As you can see not all images appearing and above the "Posted August blah blah" crap there should be content he wrote that is not appearing.

right....bascially you need to change the reference to the images in your CSS. Att the moment they have "file://C:\..." you need to upload the images and change the reference in the markup.

Unless you're using PHP to do some browser sniffing, you need to get rid of this line: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
That will throw IE 6 (and below) into a fit (quirks mode) and you really don't want that to happen.

Thanks for catching that I'm still not sure why the font is set to white unless the background that is not showing up for the center news area "antifps_35.jpg" is a dark color. Is there gong to be white text in the grey area?

So I got image thing figured out thanks.

Now what else should I do, I'll remove that line ladyn thanks.

Theres MANY things you can do to improve this code.

like LNR said its best to remove the XML at the top.
your tags are in upper case this is advised agains lower case is best
and you have two body {} in ur CSS..

I'm getting annoyed with this...lol.

Wish I hadn't abandoned HTML for few years...ha.
