Hi folks. I'm new here.

I'm having something wierd happen on my website and I was hoping someone might be able to help me out. Thanks in advance if you can.

So here's my problem. On my index page my search bar does not take any of the style I'm giving it.

Here's a link http://www.ultimatewasher.com/

On ANY other page it is accepting my styles (height, tan background, etc). Here's an example page of it working correctly.

http://www.ultimatewasher.com/pressure-washers/

This portion of my pages are using a Dreamweaver template area, so the code of the search box and surrounding area will all be exactly the same. It stands to reason that some other code unique to just the index page is making my search box look different, but I can't figure out what it is.

Any help is much appreciated.

Shane

Your not declaring units (px pts ems... etc) on all your styles and you need to declare colours with a # symbol eg <style="margin:0; padding:0; background-color:FFFFCC">.

You could make better use of an external style sheet and applying more classes or Ids to help reduce page size.

While I agree that my styles could be done better perhaps, I don't see how they would affect my search text box on this page, as there is no style sheet being applied to this box.

I just changed the search text box with a # before my color and used px, pt and em heights. It's workign fine now. Thanks for the help. I wonder why it worked fine on all other pages without these things?
