I have been working on this site for awhile and all the pages appear to work fine except pages with massive content.

The following 3 pages the navigation gets scattered about.

What am I doing wrong? I have tried cleaning up the html etc.. no matter what I do I can not seem to get the navigation to look right on those 3 pages.

Please do EVERYONE a favor and get rid of the horrid, blinking $$$ graphic ! It's distracting to say the least and it draws the eye away from what you WANT them to be looking at - your content.

Fix the DOCTYPE on your pages.

I don't understand why you have all those image maps. Even with moldy old tables that isn't the best way to lay out your navigation.

I am limited to what I am allowed to do otherwise the entire site with be div and css. and as far as the annoying $$$ also not my choice just like the design isn't it as well.

And to top all that off have to follow these ADA compliance things.

Ideally you should be using a CSS based layout anyway

All those image maps may give you a headache!

I had to scroll down below the blinking dollar image to see anything I don't see having a navigation menu as an imagemap or putting a navigation menu images all on one image instead of separating them and using a list.

Plus what the others said.

So far this forum has proven to be completely useless and full of people with responses on what it should be that clearly cannot read. (Last I checked the forum description said

HTML coding, i.e. Hypertext Markup Language, discussions and help.

Not rate this design.)

This is how the site was designed, and sliced, it is part of a university therefore it cannot be changed, that is what they want, my job was to update the content however when I did I noticed the layout was not properly sliced or laid out and caused a shift in the design (navigation).

If you want to criticize the fact the creator did a terrible job thats fine but please do not waste my time in replying unless you have any idea on how to get around that and fix it or what may be causing the design shift.
