Dreamweaver And Bulky Code

I have read on a lot of posts that dreamweaver ads extra code to most third party softwares. (example) I planned on buying a real estate management system that is already in a custom CMS and using dreamweaver mx to edit the front side. When I mentioned this to the script creator, he said that dreamwever will add unnecessary code. One posts said that the extra unnecessary code is the reason you can not use dreamweaver with other CMS such as drupal. Is there a way to go around this problem?

I use Dreamweaver for our CMS, blog, and pages. I don't seem to have unwanted "code", Dreamweaver however does add more information relating to Dreamweaver itself, which is a blessing in disguise.

If your programmer is making a custom CMS, why do you need to use Dreamweaver? Are you going to be editing more than just the content?

WYSIWYG editors will usually produce sloppy code if you don't keep a close eye on the HTML.

Is your site going to be using a database? I know that here at work, we have people who try to enter HTML tags into our forms (that put the data into the database) and it totally messes up the look of the site. Maybe that is what he is referring to.

DW won't add ANY extra code as long as you do NOT use WYSIWYG mode and use ONLY the code view window.
