i know Html very well, little bit i know about Xml . can anyone help whats the different between html and xml , moreover i need a information about xml and xml code how its works. i need from the basic itself about xml. i know xml play a major role. i read in w3c school but still i didn't get clear information.

XML doesn't really play a major role in a website if you don't want it to.

What XML does is store data for scripts and other software to read. Such as a blog's XML feed will allow another website to list all of the latest blogs.

Not only.
An xml file can be formated with an XSL file to output almost anything.
HTML, text, PDF, XLS....
You can even use it to transform this XML into another subset of XML, that could be used for another application.

Most useful, if you send an xml file with an xsl-fo stylesheet to an FOP engine, you can output PDF easily.
At least, way more easily than using php or asp.

Well, XML+XSL can be used to generate web pages.
At my work, I work on an oracle DB, and it's the choosen way to generate the web pages to access the DB.
