I'm looking to create one of those nifty music players that there are links on a page and you can click one and it will play that audio file on the page in the player...I dont know where to start with this. And honestly dont know if it's html, php, xml or what so any and all help would be great! I have a music player that is XML based but i'll change anything.

Unless it's just a quicktime / real / wmv player, they are usually flash.
