Hi all,

I'm trying to get a web browser icon to appear for my site: http://www.ivancash.com.

It works fine on a mac with Safari.

But it won't work in Firefox or IE.

I have the following code in my header:

<link rel="icon" href="http://www.ivancash.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon'/>

<!-- For Internet Explorer: -->
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.ivancash.com/favicon.ico" >

It doesn't work for any browser but Safari though.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Looks like you messed up the closing of the link tag.

All you need.

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.ivancash.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

thanks for the help, but it still doesn't seem to be working.

....fully at least (my friend using firefox on a PC says his works, but my firefox on the mac doesn't... and IE still doesn't at all...)

Hmmm. When I did what maxximus did on one of my sites it worked in all browsers and OS's

I always find favicons fickle things; mine always seem to take a while to update when I change them.
