Browser window putting borders on images!

Hi all, hope this is the right part of the forum! I'm using an "Open Browser Window" behaviour on a thumbnail on my website. The target is the image itself, not a discreet page. I have sized the image to 801x545 pixels and specified in the code to open a window of 801x545 pixels. Thing is the window opens with my picture on an unevenly distributed white background with a "scaled 94%" message in the window title. It's driving me nuts! Is there something i need to be turning on/off, adjusting etc?

Thanks, Lol

So far as I have ever been aware (though someone may know better than I) whenever you have your page open a new browser window you're at the mercy of the browser. The best thing here is to make the window slightly larger than your image dimensions, and experiment with what works. You will still, of course, be at the mercy of how different browsers handle that, but I think this will, for the most part, fix your problem.

Nothing, if you link directly to the image. As serandfae suggested, you're at the mercy of the browser.

The only thing you can do is to embed the image into a web page using the correct dimensions for width and height and link to the page.

Or you could use something like Lightbox to display your photos.

I'm not keen on anything I've found to be honest! A photography forum I go on has a member who touts J!Album at every opportunity, but I just don't like it. Plus, I like doing my own site where possible, it keeps me off the streets a little more

Lightbox IS on your own site, it's not software, it's a nifty script.
Check out it's functionality here: http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/

It's really easy to implement too.

FWIW, I don't like JAlbum either.
