Hello,

I am trying to insert a .mpg file into a website to be played as soon as the website is accessed but I am having trouble.

Can someone please help me!?

.mpg's are videos right? Well, you might want to use a website such as http://www.media-convert.com/ to convert it to an FLA file, so you can play it in a flash object. Those load much faster then a browser opening up Quicktime to play an MPG.

Just one question. I went to that site and I have to options for flash videos.

Flash SWF .swf
Flash Video .flv

Which one is better and advised to use?

That worked!

I converted the file to a flash video and I was able to insert it into the website with dreamweaver very easily.

Another question...Is there a way to create like a border for that video since it does not have anything around it... it looks pretty plain....

Well, probably a better way to go would be to use the JW FLV player to your site. Then you can have it start automatically or not if you want. Then it looks ebtter too with a time bar along the bottom and all of that cool stuff.
