Hey Guys,

I am currently in the process of making a website which has a flash header. problem i have, is the flash header reloads when you go to every page. is there a way i can get the flash header to stay open at the top of the website, and the content of each page just change when you go to each page, so that the flash header does not reload on every page?

I appreciate your advice.

What are the settings on the browsers you're checking it on? It should be cached....if not, you can use javascript to preload it.

frames <visible-shudder> is one way

loading the content using AJAX calls is another

neither of which are user & SE friendly and not good for accessibility.

Could anybody point me to a tutorial on how i can do any of the suggested methods you have mentioned please? Im not quite sure of exactly what i should be looking for?

Also, since you're using Flash content, you can use SWFObject to embed it and your page still validate:
