I recently put an email form on my website and want to know how can i make it so that once a person clicks "submit" it automatically takes them to a confirmation page? What html code would do this? and also where would i put it?

thank you.

For reference My site.

Also, my website appears to be messed up when viewed with Internet Explorer. Although it works fine with Mozilla Firefox. But thats a problem i'll most likely be seeking an answer to later on.

Can't do it with HTML, you'll need some kind of scripting to do that - PHP, .NET, maybe javascript.

how about you tell US what server side code YOU can use and we'll probably be able to actually help.

However the post you are complaining about did help, otherwise you would still be looking for a non-existent HTML solution.

I wouldn't still be looking, i'm not that involved in website design. lol

Sorry for seeming rude but i am used to posting questions in forums and either not getting a response or a response that doesn't even pertain to the topic at hand..its a force of habit.

Anyways, I believe that i can use javascript on Geocities.

BTW You aren't serious about using geocities for a serious business website are you? Please tell me it's only a testing setup.

on your second point being "seriously messed up in IE" is a fact of life and using geocities. The script code their servers implant into the page messes up the doctype for IE.

take a look at http://www.webmaster-talk.com/html-f...ormatting.html see if that works for you.
It's set to show a hidden message on return from the mailing

Unfortunately yea i'm going to be using geocities for my website...i know i know but i really can't afford to have one done and have it properly hosted at this time.

And i don't really know enough to design my own website without geocities so im sort of stuck in that aspect.

My main problem is i don't have any funds. I live in Michigan and as anyone who lives here knows that the only jobs here are the ones that are already taken. Every job here is moving out of state. Mainly to Mexico like my last job.

Anyways back on topic, is there any way that i can fix the IE problem that my website is having?

Your going to try to start a business and you can't afford a 3$ or 4$ a month charge for a basic hosting package. Hell even if your going to learn about webdesign and get better your going to want a better server and hosting setup than geocities.

http://1and1.com

Cheap affordable hosting and it gives you a decent amount of freedom to learn about web development.
