Sup guys,

Well ive always been interested in web design and i wanted to start building my own websites. I want to make an anime site where people can download from a server. Have a forum on it and be able to search the website. Also a donations page. i knw its alot for someone who hasnt even mastered html, though i have some experience with it. I would appreciate any help, tutorials info anything that can help.

Hey Tim. It's always good to learn more HTML.
Unfortunately, it's gonna take more than just HTML to do those things you want.

Your best option is to get a Content Mangement System that has those features.
You can test drive the most popular CMS' at OpenSourceCMS. They offer demos
and links to each of them. They do require PHP and a MySQL database.

You can always use your HTML experience to customize the templates for them.

Moxxnixx hit it on the head, there is way more than just HTML involved with what you want to do. It is great to have dreams and ideas. What I do is sit down and sketch what I want my site to look like and then work on each part. I cannot tell you how many times a site of mine has changed from my first vision of what it should look and be like. It seems that you have some great ideas. I do not want to spam, and I am not, but I have used some online video training sites to learn new software and it has helped me a lot. So maybe that would be something to look into. Also take a look at your competition. Look at what they do. I don't believe in copying, and don't, yet see what they have and don't have, maybe you can find a niche and exploit it. Make something your own and visitors will appreciate that.

I would agree to Colochris approach, sometimes there are tons of ideas in your mind and you won't know where to start, it is best to put them in papers and then prioritize the tasks.
