I am selling advertisement space and text link spots on my website and I want to know that if visitors to my site are clicking on those ads and text links or not?

Is there any way to track it? Please let me know about that.

Thank you

And what server side code can you use to store the tracking data?

Because it needs a "jump" page <link type="self-promo">

</link>

Are you using an ad server?

http://www.openx.org/ < this one is a very large application, however its free.

http://www.xigla.com/absolutebmnet/index.htm < this is a commercial (paid) software that I have used in the past with success.

You're going to need a server side language... If you have on installed on your server it'll most likely be either Perl, PHP, or ASP. Find out what is installed and let us know.

Lots of advertising sites give you a GET code (i.e. yoursite.com/ads.php?ref=???), and if they give you one of those you should be able to track them. If you understand PHP you could have the ads append the IP Address of whoever clicked them, but it would be pretty pointless.
