My host just has a "index.htm" file which is a webpage I have up now. No folders or anything labled root.
Its been so long since I have had a website up.

This is the instructions:

| [ New Installation]
| - Extract the files in the archive
| - Upload them to your root
| - Load aflog in your browser and install
| - The installer will take you through the process

Can someone translate that into english for me?

the folder that index.htm IS your root folder.
if you can see that page, that is where you need to upload the files to...

| - Extract the files in the archive - Unzip the zip file to your PC.
| - Upload them to your root - FTP them to the place where you can see "index.htm"
| - Load aflog in your browser and install go to www.yoursite.com/aflog.php (if it is a php page?)

| - The installer will take you through the process - follow all instructions!

Rolda has is right.

You may also need to delete that index.htm file before your site will load. This depends on the the priority of the server config. On most hosting plans you can hide a php based site behind an index htm or html file.
