After struggling to display favicon in IE 6, i tried to display it in Mozilla and it worked as i could see the favicon in address bar but when i bookmarked it i couldnt see the icon in the menu.

I used the code <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="favicon.ico">.

try emptying your cache. try dragging the icon from the address bar and back again. try IE7 IE6 is very quirky for favicons. and everything else

It takes time for your browser to recognize the favicon. When the page is in your bookmarks, try clicking it a few times.

Yea, IE is a little touchy.

You may want to try using this code:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />This has been working fine on my website in IE.
