This may not technically be an HTML question but here's my problem. I debated back and forth and posted here before about how to get a very simple enewsletter out to a hundred preschools or so, advertising my live snake show programs for kids.

I finally gave up on figuring out the HTML and blocked sender issues and just sent out an email with three short sections. A "header" , several very short (two sentence paragraphs), and three links to other websites like Wikipedia that teachers can go to if they want further information and photos of the species I am featuring each month....

Here's the email....I tried pasting into another forum and all the highlights were blocked. (hmmn, looks like they were removed here also...) Where I'm stumped is that on the first batch I managed to get this desirable bleed out to the edges, block of text effect as in below and on my second effort I can only get the highlight color on the text itself....i.e. the sentences but no bleed to the edges. I did this only by using the tools available on Yahoo Mail, gmail, or Inbox...send them back and forth to test them so I'm not sure if I accidentally used some feature of one of these services. I used no HTML intentionally. Enlighten me?

The Ringneck Snake
One of the most common but rarely seen Bay Area snakes is the Ringneck snake, a small slender grey species, with a narrow orange ring around its' neck.

Their pencil thin bodies leave tracks in soft dirt which may be seen on local hiking trails such as Skyline Park in Napa.

Ringnecks seldom bite, but will musk and twist to display their bright orange belly scales to scare off would be predators.

Several Ringnecks can live in a small aquarium provided with sphagnum moss and a water bowl if one wishes to go to the trouble of procuring their favorite food items which are salamanders, slugs, and earthworms.

Ringneck snakes, along with Alligator lizards, can adapt to highly urbanized areas, needing only a rock wall, a stack of slate, or a wood pile for adequate shelter.
