does any one know how to fix the back ground on Mozila composer

i got a web design template that i am using on Mozila

i tried deleteing the HTML source

the one that says: style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"

i am going through Jim Edwards mini site creator but ONE of the advice he has given doesnt seem to work any more

the problem is i brought the product second hand so i cant really ask him

if any one has advice on how to solve this, it would be great

thanks in advance

explain what you mean by "fix the background"

is it;
You want to rectify a problem?
or
You want it to stay in one place rather than scroll?

If that's the complete page code, then part of the problem is that your page is currently rendering in "Quirks Mode" - meaning that all the browsers (including Mozilla) are trying to guess how the page should be rendered. Given that you're using a lot of deprecated (read: obsolete) elements and attributes, I suggest you add a complete and proper HTML 4.01 Transitional DOCTYPE above the <html> tag in your page.

Then, remove the color declaration from this bit of code:

Code:
background-image: url(#000099);
The background-image property should be used to define the URL of an image that will be served in the background, not a background color.

Hope that helps.
