Anywhere in the CSS where a width is defined wider than you want it you're going to have to change that the width you want. If it's using tables with widths set, you'll have to change those numbers too.

I would strongly recommend you use firefox to view your site and download a plugin call firebug that will assist you when modifying the css code.

Its very simple to use and it takes no time to dowload

I changed my forum 2 ways, i changed config file before also

edited .... theme/stylesheet.css

Best bet is goin phpbb.com and askin gthem seeing as their the people who came up with all the code in 1st place!
