I was trying to add a div sidebar to my page and it worked great on the top half but the bottom half move over.

Can you see what I am missing its got to be something simple.

http://www.tarantuladatabase.com

EDIT

LOL it might help if I upload my css file.

Do you mind looking again hehe the sidebar falls through the bottom of the page instead of pushing it down.

Any ideas?

The side bar is not inside "content" and "content appears to be holding the background image. Try moving your sidebar into the content area and floating it to the left.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I moved the #sidebar into #content and it looks much better.

I think right now my problem is getting the length of the page to auto adjust depending on if its a long page or a shot one.

Sorry LadynRed I dont know how to clean the float or whatever could you go into a little more detail please?

I plan on filling in content and images on the home page with the really really long list so it should even out but on the other pages they dont need the 1400px deep background.

Here is an example of what I mean

http://www.tarantuladatabase.com/temp/

Notice how tall the background image is then look at this on

http://www.tarantuladatabase.com/temp/contact.html

Its the same style sheet but all the sizes are auto changed.

You still need to clear you floats. As for how you do that, do a search, I've posted links to that information at LEAST 100 times, maybe more !
