I downloaded a fixed width template, that produces this design in the forum:

But on the main index page, it doesnt stay tight.

Does anybody know how to make the frontpage tight too?

Based upon if it uses a table or CSS it would be in the define width settings. I'm not familiar with the code, but I would suggest contacting the makers of that template and asking them.

Thats how you will get the best, quickest, answer.
