Hey,

Firstly let me say a big Welcome to everyone on this site.

I have come here for a bit of advice, I'm a relative newb when it comes to the technical side of websites (e.g. coding and scripting etc) i know nothing apart from HTML.

I'm currently working on a site for myself and a few friends, its a site based on kiteboarding / landboarding. We are group of friends who spend most of our free time kiting (when there's wind) and the other half moaning about being at work or there not being any or enough wind. So we started discussing about making a site so we could have somewhere to uploaded our images , stories of trips etc basically a home for our "group".

I'm not a master when it comes to Photoshop but I know my way around, so on a windless day i started designing a small site for our group. We sat down and discussed what we wanted our site to have on it. We wanted a basic HTML site that we could all update easily and change if needed and a blog and gallery system.

I came up with this design:

www.torbaymassive.com/test.html

So this is what leads me onto my question. Being the relative newb iam, i was reading out integrating a blog system on our site, i basically wanted on the home page html to have the 5 newest blog entries and 5 newest images to show , then for the user to click through on the links to see more if that's what they wish. I did alot of research but nothing that i could get to work with a HTML site. I have looked at wordpress but wanting to use our template but not having the programs and powers to make a wp theme I'm really stuck. So needing some major help!

Basically my question is:

Is there any simple script or blog system that i could insert on a HTML site that i could run.

or

Is there anyone who is kind enough to code a wordpess template (i extremely doubt it but worth a try)

or can anyone recommended anything else that could work ?

We are wanting something a bit similar to this:

www.aaronhadlow.com (i know this is a wordpress theme but this is where i got our orginal idea from)

Many thanks,

p.s. here's a picture of what our sport is about if you have never heard of kiting before:

First, every blog is HTML, regardless of the engine that runs it - most notably PHP.

It is possible to modify a wordpress theme, or turn your existing design into a theme for Wordpress. There are tutorials out there on how to modify an existing theme or create your own. You will have to learn some CSS though.

Your site is down, I cannot see how far you have got with your design?

Absolutely, CSS is the way forward.

I basically just echo what LadyNRed said and advise that you follow a tutorial explaining how to implement a wordpress blog.

I also could not access your site

I'm sure I will get a little flank for this...
But, here is one: http://cutephp.com

All you have to do is copy a code where you want the blog to appear.
