When I try and navigate to my blog at http://www.steelermaniacs.com/wordpress/ the site starts to load and then stops and I get this error message "IE can't open site http://www.steelermaniacs.com/wordpess. I'm wondering if the "." at the end of the string is the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Besides the loading time, I don't see the problem In IE.

Loads fine for me in IE 7.

Loaded fine for me also using IE7. Maybe you are timing out due to a slow connection.

thanks for the responses..I checked and I am having some internet connections issues

maybe i too am having some internet issues as it didn't load in my IE too.
