Lets make something perfectly clear, if its HTML anyone can get to it. Sure you can get some protection but in the end the anyone can get to this code.
Even if the source were somehow masked, which it really can't totally be, a browser loads the page and cache's it. Its in the cache automatically. So you can get it there. Furthermore, google has a cache of virtually every site. You can go and get it there. Then there is the intern's WAY BACK MACHINE, you can get it there too, maybe even an old version of your site, check it out, its pretty cool.
Some scripts you can protect, but HTML, no way, not totally. If you want to protect it, you need to write it totally in a script that can be protected with like ioncube or sourceguardian or something, but STILL, it needs to be coverted back to something close to show to the browser.
take care!
