Does anyone have ie 6 or some way to look at a site? I really need more than a viewer because I am trying to test out a drop down menu that has not been working in ie6 but I think i got it, I just need to be sure. Thanks.

I have a method of doing just that.

It's called using IE6 as a browser (occasionally)

I found a program called IE Tester a couple of weeks ago and it seems pretty good. It's still a very early version. They're calling it alpha.

You can load a page and see how it looks in different versions of IE. I've tried it only a little, but so far it's worked well.

I was watching a video tutorial a designer had on his blog and noticed he was checking pages in it. As soon as the video was finished I did a quick search and found the program.

I still haven't used it a lot, but it does look promising. Better than checking screen shots.

Open the site in Internet Explorer 6, then you will know what it looks like in IE6.

I never used the standalone version, but I think you might find multiple IE useful

Glad to help Phil.

Thierry, the installer looks good. The one thing I hadn't liked about running multiple installs was that conditional comments weren't working well. Not to difficult to work around, but still... Looks like the installed you linked to takes care of that. Thanks.

You are welcome Steven. I never have used this package except for once, so I could not say about the conditional comments. At the time, I had to check an xml+xsl transformation in IE6 on a pc with only ie7 installed, but as the transformation is not working with those. Only the html mode is working, so I never used it after that. Since then, I usually have 1 win98se box in a virtual machine with a snapshot in IE5.5 and after upgrading to IE6.

Try www.browsershots.org. Many choices for testing in browsers.
