I have a little problem - at least it is for me.

I use the following code...

Code:
<a><span onclick="window.open('artists/Niall_Timmins.html', 'PPop1', 'toolbar=no,left=100,top=50,directories=no,location=no,status=no,scrollbars=yes,menubar=no,titlebar=no,height=700,width=630')">
                <b class="b3"><img valign="bottom" src="images/enter.jpg" height="9" width="7" alt="Enter" />Niall</b></span></a>
To pop up biographies on a folk music website I maintain. This can be seen in action on the opening page (under the first two images) at...

http:///www.whealdreamfolk.co.uk/

The code is clean and fast, and eliminates everything except the navigation bar and I'm damned if I can work out how to do it.

Anyone got any ideas please?

Happy coding, Brian Timmins

Sorry Chris but neither addressbar=no nor navigationbar=no has any effect whatsoever

the value should be false BUT having said that, it's an IE only property (been staring at code for a thin client IE app for too long today).

The problem is that you will probably be hitting the "chromeless" window block in the newer browsers http://www.webmaster-talk.com/websit...ddressbar.html

Ummm... "false" why? e.g. toolbar=no works perfectly well.
Anyway I tried "false" but it made no difference.
Must be hitting that block... bugger them!

I have actually got a popup that is even faster and totally free of any "bars" whatsoever, which utilises a combination of css and javascript, but I can't get it to position itself sensibly.

Oh well... plus ca change, plus ca meme chose

I have always wondering about that myself, but just never go around to caring enough to know the answer.
