Does anyone know of a way to control the URL that is bookmarked on your site when someone bookmarks it? For instance can I make it so that my homepage URL is the only page that can be bookmarked from my site? Thanks in advance.

Why on earth would you want to stop people bookmarking a page that interest them???

Just try and remember, the idea of creating a site is to get OTHER people to see it

well it's an odd situation, it's an e-commerce site and I don't want people bookmarking within the store, I want them to have to go through a log in first.

Ok, so you don't want people to be able to go to exactly what they are looking for and they are prepared to buy from you. You would prefer to put barriers in the way of the purchase process??
People do not always buy items immediately, they bookmark the URL and may return later, take this option away and you lose sales.

I run several ecommerce site and ONLY expect people to login when they want to make several purchases in one transaction. If they merely want to buy one item they don't even need to register, just go and pay for the item.
The payment processor gateway will get their name and address and send it with the payment confirmation, so we still get the contact details.

I see your point, but I also need to collect information such as inmate ID number, and location, that the processor gateway does not pass on to me.

There are ways with most gateways you can add custom fields.

However, given that it is essential data just collect it via the checkout process rather than before they can select a product.
I take it the purpose of the site(s) is not entirely altruistic, and it is in your interest to improve conversions, so the less you put in the way of the purchase path the better.

I would have left your site long before seeing any products.
