Hello,

I have a new website with a php gallery login page that is displaying incorrectly in IE6. I am posting in the HTML section because the issue lies in the HTML coding part somewhere. On IE 6, my main menu on the left sits on top of the rest of the page (login information, etc), rather than to the left of it like it should (and does in Firefox, Opera, Safari, IE 7). Can someone please take a look at it and tell me what I am doing wrong? I would like to stay compliant with HTML strict standards so any "bad" hacks around the coding should be avoided...

Many thanks to whoever can help me out!

IE6 is notorious for float drops like this when your divs add up exactly to the container width. Use conditional comments for IE6 and add the rule display:inline; to your columns. If necessary reduce the size by a a few pixels and use overflow:hidden; . Keep in mind this will only affect IE6, and a few pixels of difference won't make one. Another option is just for IE6 to float your right column right.
