Hello all,

I need to build a website for work where users can enter and track simple tasks, almost like a ticketing system, but not quite. They will enter the message ("Joe called inquiring about...") and then open the ticket, and it will be displayed on the main page for all users to see. Then another user can read it, leave a closing message ("Followed up with joe at...") and then close the ticket or thread. Where would I begin? My server doesn't support ASP...

So s "Support Ticket" system then.

ColdFusion?
Perl?
Python?
PHP?
JSP (TomCat)?

In fact almost anything apart from HTML

Well MAYBE some one could be of MUCH more help if you had managed to tell us WHAT THE SERVER SUPPORTED instead of what it DOESN'T!!!!!

IF you knew HTML couldn't do this. WHY DID YOU POST YOUR QUESTION IN THE HTML FORUM?

Anyway, I'm not sure what it fully supports, but it is a UNIX server running Apache. I know it at least supports php...

Any server language will be just fine, as long as you know how to use it.

werm82, Just try to be more descriptive next time.
And HTML does not do behaviors.If you thought it was PHP then you should have posted in the right forum.

English, but computers haven't learnt that language yet, I can wait...Keep teaching...TEACHERS.

I prefer language PHP.
