Yes, it allows you not to use Internet Explorer.
Appart from that, seamonkey is a port of the latest Gecko library (from mozilla.org, the library powering the html rendering of firefox) back into an all-in-one application like netscape was.

So, basically, it's like having firefox + thunderbird + nvu in 1 package.

I have never heard of seamonkey browser. I like firefox.

Heard of them, never used it. Looks like people who used it like it. Will try some day I guess.
