Hi all,

This may be an elementary question, but how would I create a dropdown menu that directs another button to go to site?

For example, I have a software product and there's both a Mac or Windows version. I'd like to place a "Buy" button on the product homepage with a menu right besides it with the options "Mac" and "Windows". Depending on which menu item is selected, the Buy button goes to a different page.

I appreciate any help!

Thanks
Eric

I have a very similar issue, except I would like my button to grab a file specified by the drop-down menu instead of leading to a website.

I am using Dreamweaver CS3, if that matters at all.

Hi Eric - not to sound pushy but don't you think a radio button might work better in this instance?

Otherwise you can use the SELECT tag to set an option value.

I agree that a radio button might work better. Its easier and also hassle free.

I can tell that i as a user usually find dropdown menus to be annoying, mostly due to their lack of functionality. I.e. Cant push a button to find my language or country fast, because the web designer decided to add a "-" in front of every choice.
