This is a wierd problem and I am obviously making one dumb mistake.

In IE the links in my footer work fine but in FF they do absolutely nothing. They dont seem to be read as links at all but merely as text with the same styling as my links.

When I look at the source code in FF I see this:
PHP Code:
<!-- #footer: holds the site footer (logo and links) -->
<div id="footer">
 <!--
#bg: applies the site width and footer background -->

<a href="about.php?p=contact">Contact Us</a> |  <a href="sitemap.php">Site Map</a><br />

    Global
City Partnership2009

<script type="text/javascript">
Analytics
</script>

</div>
<!-- #footer end -->
Am I just tired and not noticing a simple mistake or what is going on here?

I see that .. the code looks fine but your right.. not even acknowledging them in FF.. seems almost like there is a layer over top of them.. thats all I can guess

with a top margin of -5em it will be sat under #content

though having a bottom margin of 6em on page and then a negative marging on footer seems somewhat pointless.

also using a float and clear:both on the same container can cause a few issues.

Thats what I get for re-using a css template. By this point I have made 3 sites with this old template and its changed so much now that I am sure I have some dumb css. Thats next on my to-do list.

Thanks for the help, it looks like its fixed now.
