Someone else's homepage showing??

A while back I noticed that one of my websites was redirecting to another website when I had not set this up - my webshost denied doing this and nothing was changed or added to my domain set-up with them either - I found that I could view my website only through a proxy server for around a day before it sorted itself. Now, a couple of weeks later, my website has changed to some completely different 'parked' domain and again I can only view my actual website through a proxy server. My husband normally deals with the website side of things but is not well just now so I am trying to sort it with not much luck.

The company we registered the domain with has nothing changed and say everything should appear as normal (and does with them). Our webhosting company says nothing to do with them and they changed nothing and can view it ok. Its only us who cant see it and see this weird parked domain when we try to visit the website who cant see it - but can through a proxy! I guessed that it must be some ip related thing as it looks fine through the proxy but the webhost say it is not.

Does anyone have any ideas?
If you pm me I can send links as did not want to post website address here as the correct unchanged website has a link on it which advertises my business on so did not want this to appear as spam or advertising.

I run a few websites as I sell online, and have two main webhosts and this only happens with this one website - there are 3 other larger ones with this same webhost so I dont think its a hacking thing otherwise they would change the larger more popular ones I would assume.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section - as I said my husband normally deals with all this and i'm way out my depth.

Hello, are you sure your website domain hasn't expired? Could you login to your cPanel?

If yes did you change your password to something very complicated and ask your host for a report when you have been logged in the last time?

Hey, this sounds like some kind of DNS issue. Either that your domain isn't updated in the DNS or that your host(s) haven't updated their DNSs. It could also be a deliberate attack, though i will be surprised if any hosts/ISPs still haven't protected them self against that.

(for more read here: http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/...inskys-dns-bug)

You could aalways ask your host/ISP or atleast change your DNS on your computer to see if it solves the problem.

Best of luck friend.

If it is not your host, your registar or a redirect placed on your site, the only thing left is malware on your computer hijacking your DNS.

Do you have up to date AV from a well know company and have you ran any spyware finders?

I once had one that hijacked me based on keywords. It was a well known travel site that furnished that bug to me.
