I want to embed a youtube clip to my blog, but would like to add nofollow in it. Does anyone know here where to put the nofollow? The code looks like this (as I´m sure many of you already know):

Ok, I see. So there is no way around this then, to have a youtube video on my site that google wouldn´t follow?

Why does it matter? Given that Google actually own YouTube.

Yeah, I know, that might be right. Just want to be sure that the hard work I put in my sites doesn´t seep out. I´ve been putting nofollow on all my outgoing links just to be sure that it´s not an issue for google, with banners and so on. But it might be different with youtube, yes. One might even climb in the serps? Anyone experimented with that?

hey there, actually, nofollow or not doesn't matter. it won't hurt your page ranking in serps in anyway. it only makes sense to the landing page of the link.

What I meant was that google does look into what kind of links you have on your site. They don´t approve of sold & bought links. They will ban you for that. A lot of banner links and ads can hurt your serps badly too. If you have a site with nothing else but affiliate links you might get dropped out of google. Googles Matt Cutt has written about this on his blog. link exhange is another thing that is said to be spossibly bad for your site. Therefore I´m just careful about links on my site and I´m always using nofollow. I know youtube is not any of that, but, it´s just a habit I have, to use nofollow.

By embedding a video, you are NOT linking to anywhere.

and if you don't trust the links why on earth would you put them on your site.
