I'm a member of the warriorforum also, and much of the technical information you get there is largely inaccurate.

I think there is some use of meta keyword tags in adsense, but I don't know if it is even useful. Good adsense results are mostly based on user behavior, and what you bid.

You can leave it off, and it would be really freakishly rare even if it had any effect whatsoever. As addressed earlier, only Yahoo doesn't ignore it, but only looks at it for extremely rare keywords with virtually no searches, and no competition.

Meta keywords can be used by some internal search programs (searching inside of a site), so it's not true that they are totally useless. For the average site, however, there isn't any real reason to use them.

<center> and <font> are still used - so what are you talking about?

Those tags are DEPRECATED (meaning they should NOT be used and are no longer within W3C standards) and CURRENT coding methods, not 1997 methods, means you should be using CSS for STYLING like that. Separation of Presentation and Structure (html) is the MODERN and PROFESSIONAL way to build a site.

Oh, that's just brilliant . If you actually READ the posts in this thread, you'd see that Yahoo still gives some relatively MINOR interest to the meta keywords tag.. so there's your 1%.
