Hello, I am new. I would like to know, as the title reads, how to make generators.

If you go to some sites like a logo builder there will be a form that lets you fill in certain fields and the picture you build updated as you go.

For example, if I wanted to make a generator that let you build a website template while on the site, there would be some sort of <form> so people insert information that the generator recognizes and processes. So for the "Make your own template!" idea there would e items in the form such as background colour/image, text colour and the like.

I am somewhat experienced with HTML and Javascript, but not someone who is intelligent enough to make a self-updating form with lots of variables and multiple levels of the code, like a stringed outcome.

So if anyone knows how to make those generators, please post them! Thanks! I am sorry if this topic has already been posted, but since I am new, I'm still getting used to this forum's layout.

I'm not positive, but I think most of all of those generators are created with PHP. I'm guessing someone with intermediate PHP experience can create a generator. If you had the money you can outsource someone to create a generator for you.

You might be able to find some stuff by searching but not too sure.

Not necessarily PHP, any server side code can be used.

I'm in the process of building one for my CMS (ASP) and it is NOT something that can be covered in forum posts

I'm a bit confused by that remark.. It's not as if PHP is a key & once you have it you can do anything

Why don't you get yourself with a host that supports PHP?
Seriously, there's tons of free ones. By NEVER using PHP you're seriously limiting yourself. PHP is by far the most powerful tool I have & I highly suggest opening yourself up to it
