Is there a code that will activate a link in a new tab, like taget_blank opens a new window ?

Well it looks like steve beat me too it

This code is very new, as browsers did not used to use tabs so everything was window based.

simply put h ref code including target="_blank"

e.g

<a href="http://www.yourURL.com/" target="_blank">Your Title</a>

just to make things clear using _blank will open in a new tab.
