I am using Light Window on my website but can not seem to get it to validate with the w3c checker. Here is the line which is causing the error:

<a href="web address removed" class="lightwindow page-options" params="lightwindow_type=external,lightwindow_widt h=800,lightwindow_height=560">

params is not accpected. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get around this.

params is not a valid attribute of the <a> tag so you'd have to remove it if you want it to validate. Why not use a different script that doesn't use params?

I'm using a special type of javascript within the window that only seems to work with Light Window. I have tried Fancy Box and Thick Box with no luck.

You'll probably have to live with the code not validating then. It's not the worst thing. I'll encourage people to write valid code, but truthfully it's not like you can't have a successful site without 100% validation.
